About naturopathic medicine
Unfortunately, sometimes our symptoms don’t fit into a diagnosis box, and we are left suffering with no answers. This is where naturopathic doctors excel. We act as detectives, taking into consideration all aspects of our patients health (not just the physical), to help identify what could be contributing to the disease process. We strive to discover the root of the problem and to restore the natural balance and function of the body, avoiding the masking of symptoms. Our treatment toolbox is extensive and includes diet and nutrition, lifestyle, functional, eastern, and our western allopathic tools. See here for more information.
Naturopathic doctors are educated and trained at one of the seven accredited naturopathic medical colleges in North America. Admission to this naturopathic medical program requires an undergraduate degree with premedical sciences. The program itself is a four-year, graduate-level naturopathic medical education and includes standard medical sciences, as well as holistic and nontoxic approaches to therapy with a strong emphasis on disease prevention and optimizing wellness. In addition to a standard medical curriculum, the naturopathic physician also studies clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, pharmacology, physical medicine, intravenous medicine and counseling. A naturopathic physician takes rigorous professional board exams and are licensed by their jurisdiction as a primary care general physicians. Please note, that MDs and NDs both have their place, and we encourage working in conjunction with your MD.

Non harm
Your medicine should not be toxic, or make you more sick. I use powerful but safe tools to support your body as it restores balance and reverses the disease process.
Root cause
Permanent change requires identifying and rectifying the root cause of disease. With each patient, we'll go through a complete history, relevant physical exams, and comprehensive lab work as needed. This helps identify and support the problems where they originate, creating a more permanent foundation for health.
Research & education
I use a combination of clinical experience as well as the latest medical research to build my treatment plans, ensuring comprehensive and up to date protocols.
I do my best to educate my patients. I want them to know how powerful and capable they really are. I hope to inspire you to learn about your body, and create a stronger connection with your body.
Nature as teacher
Whether using more traditional or conventional treatments, a respect for the healing power of nature is at the core of what I do.
Individual medicine
Medicine is not one-size-fits all. Everybody is different, and every body is different. What works for one person might not work for another. All of my patients receive customized treatment plans curated to support their own unique goals and requirements.
Sustainable health
By educating and empowering my patients to build a foundation for health, I aim to create permanent lifestyle changes and community to act as a foundation for lasting health and wellness.
